It happens very frequently in my house, and with school starting up once more in just a few weeks, I’m determined to get more organized and learn How to make a meal plan with little effort so that supper is ready every night.

One skill or ability I lack significantly is cooking. Big extravagant dinners are not what I’m ever looking for since I just don’t love cooking and am not much of a food enthusiast. Once your weekly supper menu is planned, it’s time to create a grocery list. To be entirely honest with you, I detest creating lists, and I am terrible at keeping to our food budget. One of the reasons I’m going to concentrate on improving my meal planning is because my spouse is much better at it than I am. so I can reduce our food expenses and show him that I can stick to a budget.

So I’ve started meal planning in anticipation of the start of the school year, which for us is today! First, decide what will be for supper for the remainder of this week and the next week. I’m doing this week and next week together because the first week is simply Wednesday through Friday. The next step is to create my shopping list.

The use of a slow cooker

One of the greatest methods to get a tasty meal on the table on nights when you know you won’t have time to prepare it is to use a slow cooker, as I mentioned in step 3 above. Our slow cooker maybe gets used once a week.

I adore the fact that I can toss the ingredients in the morning and not have to give it a second thought until dinnertime. Here are some of my favorite recipes for slow cooker food.

I’m also attempting to start menu planning. I have to spend less money on groceries. It’s one of the few expenses we make on a monthly basis that we can reduce to make some savings. In order to create shopping lists for everything we need, I’m searching for a meal-planning system I enjoy. After that, I’ll start studying how to use coupons effectively. There are many different approaches to meal planning. One that doesn’t need me to do a lot of writing is what I’m after. Because of my condition, I am unable to write. I also want a project I can include my daughter in.
